Chapter 15
Colt
The first time I felt Olivia’s arms slip around my waist, my cock lurched. Her touch was too much, but I was glad to have it against my body. She clung to me as her body slid closer to mine on the bike. Her clothed pussy, pressing deeper and deeper against my back as her slim legs contoured to mine. I rode her around Redding and pointed out a few things. The best bars. The best places to get wings. Places she needed to stay away from unless she wanted food poisoning. I pointed out the best coffeehouse in the city and even a few places where me and the guys thought some of the drugs were being dealt.
Just because I did tell her I’d give her some of that information.
“Want to see my favorite view of Redding?” I asked.
“Please tell me it’s on the top of one of these mountains,” Olivia said.
“Oh, it really is. And it’s gorgeous around this time of day.”
“Take me. I’d like to see it.”
And she only had to say it once.
The two of us rode out of town, finding ourselves on a deserted pathway leading into the desert. It was secluded, and dust kicked up around us as we continued to push forward. I bought meaty tires for my bike because of these types of journeys. I enjoyed going off-roading with my motorcycle. I enjoyed climbing the red clay mountains and looking over the one city I had called home my entire life. The afternoon sun hung heavily in the sky. There was a bit of cloud cover headed our way. Teasing us with relief as the shade of the mountain engulfed us.
Olivia relaxed into me as her lips sighed.
I raced up the mountain. I climbed to the precipice, leaving the city and the wings and the coffee behind. I wound up the road, keeping away from the edge and making sure I didn’t spook Olivia. But, she didn’t seem spooked. She didn’t cling to me any tighter than she had to in order to take the corners. She moved with the bike instead of forcing herself against it.
She really had grown up on one of these things.
We emerged from the trail and I walked my bike to the middle of the flattened mountain top. Out across the desert—--over the light brown sand and the cacti that grew for feet in the air and the few plants the desert afforded life to—--was Redding. The skyline of it. The lights, twinkling against a sky that had fallen dim with cloud cover.
Olivia gasped as her body slipped from my bike.
She took her helmet off and her raven hair went spilling everywhere. It had come out of the bun she’d had it up in, and I watched as it spilled down her back. Her lightly-flared hips swayed as she walked to the edge of the mountain. My heart stopped. She was getting too close to the edge. She’d fall over if she took another step.
Why the fuck did that scare me as much as it did?
She stood there without a care in the world.
